Chennadal:1 cup(soak it for 2-3 hrs and cook it till smooth not mashy)
Tomato:1 big(Finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste:1 spns
Chilli Powder:2 spns
Turmeric Powder:1/2 spn
Garam masala Powder:3/4 spn
Cumin Seeds:1 spn
Mustard Seeds:1 spn
1.Put a pan on flame,add oil,when hot add the cumin seeds,when they splatter add cumin seeds and fry for a min,add finely chopped onions and fry till transculate,add gibger garlic paste,curry leaves,green chillies and stir well,fry till the raw flavor of ginger-garlic paste in removed.
2.Now add the chopped tomato,cover with lid and cook till smooth.Add salt,turmeric powder,red chilli powder and garam masala powder.Stir well and fry for another 4-5 mins.
3.When done add in the boiled chenna dal and add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 7-9 mins so that boiled chennadal absorbs the spices and dal becomes tasty.
4.Check for seasning and consistency.Adjust accordingly and finally garnish it with little chopped corainder leaves.
5.Serve it hot with Chapathi/Pulka.
Add few drops of lemon before serving if u like.
